Frontmatter
You can include frontmatter in your MD or MDX files:
---
title: Frontmatter
description: XXX
---However, not just any content placed in the frontmatter will be rendered. Code Altas supports only the following three data fields; all of them are optional:
Title
The title is rendered at the very top of the page as the main heading. It is optional; if title is not specified, the name defined in codealtas.config will be used instead.
description
The description provides a summary. It is rendered below the title in a smaller, lighter-colored font.
tags
The tags field accepts an array of strings. Define colors in codealtas.config.ts; article tags without a configured, nonempty color are not displayed:
import { defineConfig } from "@code-altas/ui/config";
export default defineConfig({
title: "My Documentation",
description: "Guides for my project",
logo: "/logo.svg",
docs: {
tags: {
"Beta": "#1447E6"
}
}
});---
title: Frontmatter
description: XXX
tags:
- Beta
---The color #1447E6 is applied to the text (Beta) at 100% opacity and to the border at 20% opacity. Tags are rendered below the description.
Frontmatter does not change a document's URL. Set draft and disabled on navigation entries in docs.categories, not in frontmatter. See Navigation for their behavior and Page Metadata for using article titles and descriptions in browser metadata.
